As the companions sat down to discuss their next move in the safety of the wasps nest, Erik heard a cough. There behind the crates a dishevelled man was trying to look busy while eavesdropping on their plans. A traitor in their midst, perhaps this explained the misfortune they were having…
With Erik leading the interrogation Morgar Manthal explained that he thought he was going mad. After receiving instructions from a talking rat he felt compelled to spy on the leaders of the revolution. He explained that he had missing memories but he had been to the house Sarini at one point. Believing the pedlar, Percy began to search the area he had seen the rat. All that was there was the stack of papers that they had retreived from the livery. Although he now noticed that there was a faint aura of magic from one of those pages, a lading bill by the looks of it.
Pelius appeared both fascinated and worried about the paper, suggesting the bury it in a lead lined box to prevent it influencing anyone else. Erik scoffing at his country superstition said he would investigate it further before taking the sheet.
Whilst Terhil searched the wasps nest thoroughly the rest of the party headed out to see what was going on in the city. Erik returned bearing a bunch of roses which a street urchin had delivered to him, within was an enigmatic note from someone known as the Rose of Kintargo. Meanwhile Rexus had finished the translation of the documents and they now had a more detailed history of the Silver Ravens, he also had another piece of investigation for them.
Convinced his mother may in fact be hiding in the hidden offices of the Secret Order of Archivists hidden in Hokums Fantasmagorium. Handing them a mithril key Rexus wished them luck in their investigations. Without delay the companions headed out with the intent of seeing the lay of the land, before entering the building.
Unfortunately as enthusiastic as ever after finding the side door was blocked Pelius opened the front door with the key and headed in. Expecting an empty deserted building he was surprised to be attacked by two of the skeletal displays. Realising that perhaps they should not be so reckless the group decided to withdraw an prepare properly for their investigation into the deserted building.
